CHINOOK is now open for retention in the ocean and pinks are open in the river and the fishing is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! Reports of up to 20 chinook per tide have been coming in for weeks now off the green can and hump area and it hasn’t let up at all. We’re also hearing multiple reports of anglers getting their limit on pinks in the river the last few days.. IT’S FISHING TIME!!!

Effective July 1st some new chinook retention openings in Ramsey’s arm, Bute inlet, Toba inlet and in area 12 in parts of the Broughton archipelago. Also the 80cm size cap has been removed in the no downrigger zone in area 13.

Happy to announce we're back to regular business hours, as of June 1st we are 9AM-6PM. We are now accepting cash and our change rooms are open (with tried on clothing going into quarantine). We're repairing downriggers and fishing reels starting on Sat June 6th and we're spinning fishing reels, however there is a 3 day wait while reels are quarantined. Due to covid-19 workplace BC social distancing/hygiene and occupancy limit guidelines we won't be doing any licensing or memberships for the foreseeable future and washrooms will be unavailable. We look forward to seeing you this summer as we all get back to as normal a life as possible... Happy Camping everyone June is here!!!

Fall 2020 LEH is out. There are no paper copies this year. You are only able to apply online as the stores and government offices are not doing licenses this year. Best of luck everyone

Effective Tuesday April 14th River Sportsman will be open for business Tuesday-Saturday 9AM-5PM with some restrictions in our daily operations. Curbside pickup will be an option for those who call in with credit cards. A couple of the notable restrictions will be that we’re not issuing any licenses or memberships at this time or accepting any cash.
