I wish the media for once would stop putting the fear of God in people regarding the Bank of Canada interest rate. If we take an increase today we are looking at a difference of 30.00 a month on a 300k mortgage. FOOD FOR THOUGHT RUSSIA WOKE UP TO INTEREST RATES OF 20% this morning. We are sitting at 1.25% on the variable and IF (NOT YET CONFIRMED) a .25 increase we are looking at 1.50%. we still need approx 6 more increases to get up to the fixed rate .
