Sassafras Belly Dance & Movement 01.12.2020

If you’re coming to class tonight, please make sure to have something that you can grasp and is approximately 12 inches/30 cm long. A ruler, a cooking untensil (spatula, spoon, etc), broom stick. This will be a prop for working our internal and external rotation. See ya soon!

Monday is our last 7:00EDT class...but so looking forward to BOTH themes this week. Last year at this time, End Game came out...so in honour of that epic end, we'll be doing Guardians of the Galaxy themed playlist. Mwhahaha!!! And we'll be spending our time with this amazing playlist of tunes exploring our finger and wrist. Like most people, we put a lot of strain on our fingers and wrists with all that social media and computer time. Mobility will be key to not only help... your dance but pretty much anything you do! Sassafras Belly Dance & Movement 15.11.2020

Tomorrow is a our last class of what was meant to cover us through quarantine. LOL! And now we know better!!! With that, I've learned a LOT about the technology as well have had the time to really focus on what I'd like to share with the world. So starting this week, our last of the old classes, the Monday classes will be implementing a two-fold goodness: 1). Each week will have a music focus. Mwhahaha! 2). Each week we'll be deconstructing and focusing on movements of... a particular 'joint'/body area. We'll begin each class with movements to encourage mobility, play with creative ways to move and use this area of focus and then before our 30 mins are up play with a combo of all we discovered. The class itself (the deconstruct and drill) will be 30 mins long...though we may bleed over...followed by a 30 mins social hour. Bring your drink of choice!!! This week will also be our last week at 7:00EDT. Moving to 8:00 to allow for folks to get their din-din in. Kick of your work week with some you-time! Check out the page for the events. Drink & Drill tonight at 7:00pm ET. Bring your beverage of choice! (tea, coffee, water, wine...whatever floats your boat!). Tonight we'll f*'ing around with Datura drills (messing them up to challenge ourselves) as well as doing some work on shoulders/chest 'openers' and working our arms to see how these exercises impact our dance.
