Search and Rescue Niagara 08.11.2020

Just wanted to update you all on what is happening with SARN due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Our shut down is continuing. For the safety of our members, as well as their families, we are cancelling our dates for July. All Certified members are still on call for Police Searches. That will not change. We are normally off during the month of August for our usual summer vacation so that will stay the same. Hopefullly we will be able to restart our meetings and trainings in September. All the community events that we usually do have been cancelled so it has been a very quiet summer. Take care and stay safe.

Today is the frst day of National Volunteer Week. I would like to take a moment to say Thank You to each and every one of my teammtes for giving their time to our team. You each bring your all everytime you attend and each of you are a true asset to SARN. A big Thank You also goes out to our extended family of SAR team members across Ontario and the rest of Canada. So far this year has certainly been an interesting one with great challenges for all. Please stay Safe, stay Strong and we will get through this together. Regards, Nancy D. Wishing the members of SARN and their families and friends, as well as all our other SAR team families, a very Happy Easter. The way we celebrate this long weekend is going to look very different for most of us this year, due to everything going on in the world. No matter what you have planned, please enjoy and stay safe. It is amazing how things change from day to day, hour to hour. For those of you, like me, that are still working, it brings out a whole new level of stress. For those of you that are not, the stress can be very over whelming. No matter which group you are in, please remember, Stay Strong and we will get through this together.
