As another week comes to a close, we want to say a BIG thank you to all the hardworking frontline and essential workers.
Without our customers, we wouldnt be SECURE. We are keeping our facilities safe, operational, and sustainable, all while supporting the energy industry. We provide access to pipeline infrastructure and environmentally responsible waste management options for oil and gas by-products generated in our operating areas. SECURE has initiated its Business Continuity plan to ensure we are delivering uninterrupted, safe service to our customers. We are operating with enhanced safety measures and following all provincial/state and federal health guidelines to ensure the safety of our employees and customers.
These are unprecedented times for our people, families and communities. SECURE ENERGY is proactively taking preventative measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 while still operating safely to help our customers and support the energy industry through this difficult period. We all must do our part by practicing good hygiene and social distancing to help flatten the curve. Take care of yourself, your family and your neighbours. A huge thank you goes out to all of our employees and to our frontline healthcare workers.
The foundational [skills] that you build from kids being involved in sport the playing, the learning, the ability to work towards a common goal are there with KidSport, says Rene. We hope everyone enjoyed a refreshing long weekend. The SECURE family is certainly ready to go after all the excitement of our new brand launch. We are starting the week ready to challenge what is possible!
SECUREs President and CEO, Rene Amirault learned at a young age the importance of both winning and losing through sport. As Rene says, "how you handle yourself on both sides really determines your character, values and leadership skills." This month, Rene is sharing his experience of playing sport through KidSport Alberta and KidSport Calgary.

Starting 2020 right in Grande Prairie.
Christmas, its finally here! Remember to plan ahead and stay safe wherever the festivities may take you. Hopefully the smiles you share will be as big as Rosalies here, when she saw the unicorn tree team SECURE put together for Childrens Wish Foundation, Trees of Joy. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.
Christmas eve is almost here. Before the celebrations begin, we are wondering what your 2020 giving goal is? Giving back is a year round commitment for us, to help the communities where we live and work thrive.
Did you know chuckwagon rigs are not just for racing? They are also for spreading Christmas cheer! At the Lloydminster parade of lights, our field sales representative and resident chuckwagon driver, BJ Carey outfitted his wagon with lights, a fire and even a snowman. That is definitely a sleigh ride we would want to be on.
As Christmas comes closer and closer, SECUREs elves are sure busy giving back in our communities. Most recently, the elves at our facilities in the Grande Prairie area raised money at their Christmas Party and generously gave back to three charities in their community - Peace Area Riding for the Disabled Society, Bandaged Paws and the Odyssey House.
Just one week to go before the big day. Youve made your list; youve checked it twice and hopefully everyones avoided the naughty list. With the excitement of gifts comes wrapping paper and packaging galore, much of which ends up in a landfill when Christmas morning passes. Year round, SECURE provides safe and appropriate disposal options for many types of oilfield waste, ensuring that the environmental impact of disposal is minimized. What are some ways you are going to ensure holiday waste is minimized?
Way to go spreading the Holiday Cheer!
The holiday season covers a lot of territory. Lets not forget about Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice and many more that take place around this time. Celebrating diversity in our communities allows us to appreciate all perspectives, cultures and values. Share with us what the holidays mean to you.
Holidays are a time of giving. For most of us, there was that one special time where what we gave or received was unforgettable and made a lasting impact. Recently our North Dakota folks donated their time and proceeds to help their local Christmas for Kids program, ensuring over 240 kids have a happy Christmas. We want to know what gift or gesture youve given or received during the holidays that left an impact on you?
We are buzzing with excitement as the holidays near. One way to burn that energy and spend time with friends and family is to participate in your favourite winter sport. Skiing and skating are popular ones around SECURE, but there are many more. What is your go-to winter sport?
Help us solve this ever loving debate. are you team gingerbread or shortbread? Or neither? Share with us what you think the ultimate holiday treat is. Personally, we here at SECURE are TEAM ALL OF IT! Except fruitcake...
Its the holiday season and when we think about whats really important for us at this time of year, it is giving back to our communities. The team at SECUREs Calgary office were busy elves fulfilling the Christmas wish lists of over 20 seniors in need. What is your favourite way to give back to the community?
