After going out a walk with intervenor Nina, Hannah was asking about Ottawa and whether she could go on a bus ride there. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic this wasn’t possible. Thinking outside the box, intervenors Nina, Janet and Rose with the help of Katie and Martha created a virtual tour of the city of Ottawa, set up in the living room, where Hannah could be the bus driver navigating the group through the city.... She laughed and giggled the whole time shared program coordinator Karen. #FeelGoodFriday

Darby’s handmade card business is continuing to grow. The Peterborough resident recorded some impressive sales recently after advertising on Facebook, which she developed with intervenor Rachel at the beginning of December. Darby and Rachel visited Accurate Accounting & Tax Services in Woodview to fill a card order placed by company president Susan Northey. Susan is a strong supporter of Darby’s endeavors, previously sponsoring Darby to play sledge hockey with the Kawartha Bl...azers. Susan and Darby’s mom Allison went to high school together and Susan has been doing the family’s taxes for years. As a special thank you, Darby included one of her new hats that she has been knitting. As Darby and Rachel were leaving they were called back in as two other staff members wanted to buy cards. Darby sold $80 worth of Christmas cards and was asked when her hats would be available for sale. Darby was absolutely thrilled! Rachel said, adding that the staff wanted to support local this year and that Darby has always been a special customer. Because of COVID0-19 restrictions Darby is making special arrangements for sales of her cards. Check out Darby’s Custom Art on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/search/top In the photo, Darby, left, is standing with Susan Northey, who is holding one of Darby's Christmas cards.

She shoots! She scores! Lots of fun happening in Brighton as Courtney, Intervenor Sabrina and Intervenor Services Coordinator, Tyler spent the morning playing floor hockey. Courtney really enjoys playing in her gross motor room in her home. Courtney always ensures that everyone who’s in the room has a hockey stick to be able to participate. Courtney has a pro slap shot and often scores most of the goals shares program coordinator Tyler.
