#Repost @ambrozicchaplaincy Cultural depictions of Mary have always been a thing, the fact that we normally see Mary depicted as white is probably n...ot how Mary looked. In fact, Mary would have been at least tanned skinned. So why do we see Mary in sooooo many different ways... for me it’s a way for us to recognize her as our Mother. We look towards her for protection and by her being of the same background as us it helps us feel comfort. No matter what depiction, she is beautiful, loving , and full of mercy.
