Shanghai Update. What we originally though would be a 3-4 week temporary closure is now looking much longer. Now that we have more time to pass, we decided to take on more reno’s than we intended. You may not recognize the Shanghai when or if we ever reopen We have been so blessed with support during this time, big virtual hugs and thanks to @joakeur, our electrical guys, Scott and Kevin for their patience and @chinadollottawa for keeping our spirits high. Just like everyone else, we are looking for as many positives in this negative time and wondering what we can do to help our community and stay safe. Staying home, minimizing our interactions and staying safe seems to make sense to us. Temporary closure of Shanghai for self and community care but also for some much needed renovations. Many businesses, community organizations and events are taking actions to help protect the health of our community and prevent the spread of that nasty virus. We at Shanghai have decided to take this opportunity to self isolate and protect ourselves, our much loved staff and at the same time, patch up some holes left from all the hanging artwork, and do some much dreamt up renovations in the Shanghai.
