So after nearly 3 months as a business owner, I have finally made my first acquisition. This is a Flir E4 infrared thermal imaging camera. What does it do? A infrared camera allows us to determine the presence of heat energy. Sample pictures show the difference in temperature between a hot cup of water (yellow/orange colored) and a cold cup of water (blue colored). Why is this important? When this technology is applied to a building envelope, it gives a clear indication of wh...ere heat is escaping. It can also be used to detect abnormal loads on electrical panels.
