Question we get asked all the time: "Why do you always say food first but then talk about supplements". Well here's the short answer. Sometimes we need to use supplements to fill the gaps that we can't get with food. For example, our D3&K2 supplement. K2 is found in some foods but one that has the highest is Eel and you won't see us running to the supermarket to pick that up any time soon. Butter is also a great source of K2 but for the amount you'd have to eat to get the required amount there would be more to worry about. So in comes our supplements to make sure that you're receiving as much nutrients as possible to bridge the gaps of the nutritious food you're eating and keep you healthy just like these immune boosting foods!
Sometimes we just need some Adrenal Recovery, especially in warm, wholesome, soup form. When the Adrenal glands aren't working properly it can result in Adrenal Fatigue. Do you find your snacks boring? Spice it up with this Chipotle Spiced Chickpea Recipes!! INGREDIENTS 1 29 ounce can chickpeas 1 tbsp of olive oil... 1/4 tsp chipotle chili powder 1/4 tsp smoked paprika 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp cumin 1/8 tsp fresh cracked pepper Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional) DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare the beans for roasting by draining and rinsing them, then letting them dry on a towel until most of the excess moisture is absorbed. Put them into a resealable plastic bag or container and add the olive oil. Shake the bag or container to thoroughly coat the chickpeas. Add all remaining ingredients to bag/container and shake again. Spread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Roast the chickpeas in the oven for 45-60 minutes or until the beans are crunchy throughout (just test one-if they are still mostly soft on the inside and there’s no crunch, keep baking).

Peppermint Mocha Bites 1 cup raw almonds 3/4 cup pitted medjool dates, about 6 2 Tablespoons of cocoa powder ... 1 teaspoon of instant coffee granules 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract 1/8 teaspoon of peppermint extract 1-2 Tablespoons of dark chocolate chips, roughly chopped 1 candy cane finely crushed Place almonds in your food processor/blender and process until nice and fine, but not turned to dust. You want there to still be a few bigger chunks to give the bites some nice texture. Add dates and process until the mixture starts to come together to form a nice sticky dough. Add cocoa powder, coffee, vanilla and peppermint extract then process again until well combined. Lastly throw in your chocolate chips and process until just combined. Using your hands, roll approx 1 heaping teaspoon of mixture into delicious bite size little pieces. Roll bites in crushed candy cane by placing the crushed candy cane into a small bowl then press your pre-rolled bite turning so it’s evenly covered then transfer to an airtight container. Enjoy!

Digestion Tip! Do you often feel bloated and gassy after eating? Digestion begins in the mouth so make sure you are chewing your food thoroughly. When you chew your food properly, the body releases digestive enzymes that help to break down the food and convert it to energy. When food isn't digested properly it can lead to an increase in gas and bloating so slow down, chew your food and enjoy. ? Contact us!
