So, what does Facebook want from you when you post on your Facebook business page? Did you even know that they want something from you? Bet you never thought of that... did you?... Well, Facebook wants to keep it's members, all 3 billion of them, ON FACEBOOK and engaged as much as possible. They don't want them clicking on links and going to some other website, they want them to stay here AND be engaged and having fun. That's the name of the game for Facebook. If people think about coming onto this platform, if they are excited to be here and are liking, commenting and sharing, then Facebook is winning at it's goals. You see, the more people that are active and engaged here, the more people will spend in advertising dollars here. But you don't have to run ads... BUT if you focus your posts on keeping people on Facebook and keeping them entertained, distracted and engaged, then you are helping Facebook with it's mission... and Facebook will reward you with greater reach on your future posts, which means more people will see what you have to say, which is what we want right? This basically makes the algorithm irrelevant to you. 'Cause you play it. And if you choose to run ads, then Facebook will again reward you with more reach on your ads and a lower cost for your results. You help Facebook with their goals, they will help you with yours.
