We just heard from the wonderful ladies who adopted Pax 5 years ago that he passed away peacefully this morning in his home with the help of their vet. Pax was almost 15 years old and in respiratory failure. It was his time. His mammas gave him the very best life any dog could ask for. We will always be grateful to them for that. RIP sweet Pax. Until we meet again!

Attention to those who have sent in adoption forms in the last 30 days. Sophie's been swamped and hasn't had the time to go over all of them yet. If you sent in your form (the one from our web site where there is a $25 processing fee) and you've since found a dog elsewhere or changed your mind, please let Sophie know ASAP by e-mailing her at [email protected].

UPDATE: FOSTER FOUND. Husky Bear is now on hold while Sophie reviews adoption applications. Hello everyone! Meet Husky Bear, a 3 yr old Husky X male in good health. We'd like to place him in one of our experienced foster homes or an experienced foster with intent to adopt asap. Please read his bio in full before contacting us. If you think Husky Bear is a good match for you to adopt, we will need you to fill out our adoption form first. If you're just looking to foster however, we will send you our foster form unless you are already a foster for us. *SDA is located in Montreal.

******ATTENTION ATTENTION ****** MAXI IS MISSING and has been spotted in the Fairview Pointe-Claire area. We need this great community's help. Help Find Maxi i...s a page created to help centralize messages and sighting of this lost dog and help us work more efficiently and successfully in communicating with the community. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU IS; - REPORT ALL SIGHTINGS IMMEDIATELY BY CALLING 514-432-8510 - PLEASE DO NOT CHASE OR PURSUE HIM OR CALL OUT TO HIM. - DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CATCH HIM. - DO NOT FORM SEARCH PARTIES (this will sweep him out of his safe zone and into potential danger and a new location where we will need to start from scratch again) - PLEASE DO NOT FEED HIM. Chasing, following, calling out and feeding, although they seem like the logical thing to do, are actually not. We have a team of experienced tracker/trappers working with us. Any of the above actions can push him out of his safe zone and put him in danger. He is in survival mode and will flee from any people and other dogs as they pose a threat in this situation. We have strategically placed feeding stations which are being monitored by cellular cameras. Leaving random food out for him will hinder our efforts. West Islanders, this is not our first rodeo of this sort and we have always succeeded in achieving our goals by working together as a community, right? Lets put our WI pride at work here and lets get this pup home where he belongs. PLEASE SHARE THIS PAGE WITH ALL YOUR FRIENDS!!! -

UPDATE: Argentina is now on hold while we begin screening applications. Her profile no longer appears on our sites. Argentina is coming back to us after 3 years. Her human's new partner has developed an extremely allergic reaction to dogs ever since her pregnancy began. Argentina is a wonderful girl. She's 5 years old and very loving. Please read her full bio at https://www.petfinder.com//mont/sophies-dog-adoption-qc23/
