Please pre order any popcorn orders, at 204-734-3069 or text 204-281-1667, 10mins before pick up so we have enough made for everyone that wants popcorn. We will also be selling Backstage Gym on Main gift certificates at this time. Please share this as much as you can!

We have curb-side popcorn sales tonight from 6-8pm. With the support we received last week, come to the theatre for your order. I wasn’t able to keep up with text orders and car hopping so just come to the theatre and place your order, unless you need gift cards or gift certificates then you can message me.

Straight from the Mb Panic Response booklet. Theatres are not listed on it. RESTRICTED Community transmission of COVID-19 is occurring across much of Manitoba. New clusters are occurring, but can be controlled through self-isolation, testing and contact tracing so they do not spread further.... The health care system is able to manage COVID-19 case levels. Range of Response Measures Gathering sizes will be limited further, based on public health information at the time. Further travel restrictions may be may be in place, based on COVID-19 transmission in other jurisdictions or the risk of COVID-19 being imported into Manitoba. Some non-urgent surgeries and diagnostic procedures may be restricted. 6 Added restrictions to visitation in hospitals, long-term care, personal care homes, and assisted living facilities may be in place. Capacity in child care facilities and home-based providers may be more limited and increased priority toward meeting needs of critical workers. Therapeutic health care businesses, such as chiropractors, physiotherapists, optometrists, podiatrists, therapeutic massage therapists and acupuncturists, may be required to introduce occupancy limits and physical distancing requirements. K12 schools may be more restricted by occupancy limits and more requirements for remote learning especially for grades 9-12. Post-secondary may be more restricted by occupancy limits and more requirements for remote learning. Retail businesses may have added occupancy limits. We have been getting many enquiries regarding the theatre and the new rules that come into effect on Monday. The theatre will maintain 30% capacity or 55 people as we are following the Covid guidelines that were set out in phase 4 at the end of July. The theatre is very capable of providing social distancing of 2 meters or 6 feet. If you have any concerns, please let us know.

We are so excited to open our doors for our amazing customers. We want everyone to know that even though we are going to be open we won't be able to bring in new movies as there isn't anything being distributed right now. We are going to bring in some classic movies that the movie companies are releasing to us to play. This means you can watch movies at the theatre for $5 a ticket. Doesn't matter if you are 2 or 82 years old, you can watch a movie for $5. We can't wait to see everyone and serve our delicious popcorn. See you at the show!

It’s official, Star City Cinema will be able to open it’s doors again. We will be starting to show movies Friday, July 31. All movie tickets will be $5. Stay tuned to see what we will be playing on the big screen!!

First and foremost, our priority and concerns are about the health, safety and well-being of our valued customers, staff and families. From a business standpoint our theatre will stay open for to finish out the run of Call of the Wild, Wednesday, March 18 and Thursday, March 19.
