Winterizing for the season? A reminder a development permit is required for RVs parked in your front yard or driveway for more than 7 days between November 1 and March 31. As per the Land Use Bylaw (section 4), you may park your RV in the rear yard or side yard without a permit if it does not encroach into the required front, flankage, or side yard setbacks for your property. All parked RVs must not impede emergency access to any area on the site or encroach onto a sidewalk or road right of way. Illegally parked RVs are subject to fines! Mandatory restrictions are in place for sports and fitness activities in all areas under enhanced status regions in the province. Sports and fitness activities ...have a high risk of COVID-19 spread due to exertion of participants, and they can involve mixing and mingling of participants or spectators before, during, or after the class or activity. Restrictions apply to all levels of sport including professional, semi-professional, junior, collegiate/universities and amateur. Gyms and fitness facilities can be open for individual studio time, training or exercise only in regions under enhanced status. Instructors can use facility to broadcast virtual fitness classes. There can be no group fitness, group classes, group training, team practices or games at this time. Outdoor sport, recreation and physical activity is permitted, as long as they are physically distanced, follow guidance and abide by the outdoor gathering limit of 10 people maximum.
