We begin the 1st full week of Lent asking almighty God to grant that we may grow in understanding of the riches hidden in Christ and by worthy conduct pursue their effects.

Today is #RedWednesday, organized by @acn.canada @acn_international as a reminder to pray for those persecuted for their faith in Christ. May the Lord confirm His servants in truth and grant to His faithful who suffer tribulation that, as they follow Him in bearing their cross, they may, in every trial, glory in the name of Christian.

The 33rd Sunday of Ordinary Time is marked as the World Day of the Poor.

The Saturday morning Mass at our parish begins with the Prayer to our Lady of Knock. Copies of the prayer card may be obtained directly from Fr. Vito in the sacristy.

Oggi la Chiesa celebra la festa memoriale della Presentazione della Beata Vergine Maria. May we, who rejoice in commemorating the Blessed Virgin Mary, imitate Her and serve worthily the mystery of our redemption.

Those who wish -and are able to do so- are invited to continue their contributions to the church. The special collection for the Archdiocese of Toronto's Shepherds' Trust was to be held this coming weekend. Those who are able to make a contribution for our retired clergy are welcome to do so.
