To celebrate the 60th birthday (on March 10) our rector, Archdeacon John Clarke we have decided to hold a fundraiser for PWRDF a cause near and dear to his heart. We have chosen to gift the All Mothers and Children Count COVID-19 Extension Fund which is matched 6:1 by the Government of Canada with the added bonus of giving John some extra joy around his 60th birthday. Your donation will help ensure the gains made in maternal and newborn health, food security and nutrition will be sustained while partners work to supply communities with PPE, information and facilities for handwashing and proper hygiene, and science-based information about prevention and treatment of COVID-19. Donate now at: https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/WebLink.aspx

WE MADE IT!!!!!! This year is unlike any other. The need for support is greater than ever. As we receive more donations, decorations and lights will be hung to our online Giving Tree and presents will be put under the tree until we have reached our fundraising goal! When we hit $5000, I will put our star on top. Any money over our goal will be given out throughout the winter months to those in need of a helping hand. All donations collected will be given to families in need. ...There are many ways for you to support your community and give to the Giving Tree. Bring your donation or Gift Card to church on Sunday and add it to our in-Church Giving Tree. Click on the link above or call us at the office (902-892-1691) to set up a time to drop off your donation or Gift Card to the hall. Make your donation by E-Transfer. Make your donation on Canada Helps by clicking on this link and following the instructions. https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/13025 See more

Now: unlike ourselves, the Father of Jesus loves men and women, not for what He finds in them, but for what lies within Himself. It is not because men and women are good that He loves them, nor only good men and women that He loves. It is because He is so unutterably good that He loves all persons, good and evil. ... He loves the loveless, the unloving, the unlovable. He does not detect what is congenial, appealing, attractive, and respond to it with His favor. In fact, He does not respond at all. The Father of Jesus is a source. He acts; He does not react. He initiates love. He is love without motive. Rev. James T. Burtchaell, III, C.S.C.
