Back in 2016, I started getting mild backaches that, over time, prevented me from sitting or laying down. There was so much pain and tension, I knew something ...was wrong. I went to my family doctor who thought it was probably stress-related and offered me some relaxation techniques. When that didn't work, they referred me to a physiotherapist where I was told I needed to strengthen my abs. Given that I had been training as a competitive athlete most of my life, this surprised me. But I gave it a shot. My abs got stronger, but my back pain never subsided. I decided to give chiropractic a try. I was nervous because months had gone by without relief, but I was hopeful. I was pleased that my chiropractor investigated solutions to my specific back pain. After a few appointments, I slowly started to feel better. I looked forward to going to my appointments and tracking my weekly progressno longer feeling like there would be no solution to my pain. I'm thankful I walked through the doors of that chiropractic clinic. It was the first step I needed to make everything else possible!" #GetSpineActive

When getting adjusted, you may hear a "popping sound." This is completely normal and is believed to be the release of air pockets from the fluid inside the joint (like cracking your knuckles). You can read more about it in this blog post. http://bit.ly/2YporgA
