A few people have been asking about limited tickets for the September 19th event from OSCAAR President, Dave Gainforth. Please see the attached OSCAAR document for information. All inquires should be sent to [email protected].

Covid may have put a wrench in our 2020 season, but we are working hard at making 2021 better than ever! Sunset Speedway is proud to announce the addition of the SEATON STRUCTURES LTD Pro Late Model division which will debut with the Limited Late Models next season. Rules, purses and final details will be announced in the coming months. Bring on 2021!!

Wish we could invite a few thousand of our closest friends... but just having cars on track is a win for now.

It has been a LONG wait for engines to fire up here at Sunset Speedway this season, but today NASCAR announced a revised 2020 NASCAR Pinty’s Series schedule comprised of three twin-125 race weekends. The six-race season will feature two races apiece at 3 different tracks, and two will be right here at Sunset Speedway on August 15th! Following local, provincial and federal guidelines, no spectators will be in attendance for the 2020 season. All races will air delayed on TSN and RDS in Canada and MAVTV in the United States. The full broadcast schedule, including start times, will be released at a later date.

MAY 15th, 2020 - COVID-19 UPDATE: It has been a crazy few months, and an even crazier 24 hours. In response to yesterday's announcement regarding Ontario's three step plan to re-open the economy, we have reviewed every option available to us. We have organized a sensible and safe option to allow single car only testing. Starting on Tuesday May 19th, Sunset Speedway will be available for rental. Initial plans under Phase-1 of the governments outline will be single car only, 1... driver, and 4 crew maximum with a maximum of 3 teams per session. The track will be available from 10am to 3pm (no engines fired before 10am) for $1000. It will be available on a first come first serve basis until future guidelines are lifted from the government under Phase-2 and Phase-3. We will outline health and safety requirements for the track rental ASAP. Payments must be made in full to reserve your spot. MAY 14th, 2020 - COVID-19 UPDATE: Hello once again to our racing family. Today Ontario announced their 3-Stage plan to economic recovery. We are all anxious to get back to what we all love doing, but we need to follow the guidelines of the province and health experts. 'Motorcycle and car racing' was listed as a permitted Stage-1 activity, however it must be done under physical distancing measures, and also be conducted as an individual/single [non-team] activity without spectators. This puts us in a tough spot. With social gatherings still under tight restriction, we will remain closed until it is safe to open. This includes testing for the time being. More attached:
