From February 1st to February 8th IQEMS will have an extended downtime. Medics however, will be unable to respond to any outstanding feedback requests during this downtime.
Please be advised that IQEMS will be unavailable from January 3, 2021 at 1000 hrs to January 4, 2021 at 1600 hrs. This period of downtime is scheduled for maintenance and upgrades to IQEMS. Thank you for your patience.

Thank you for your patience and understanding regarding this issue.

Centralized Patching Tip of the Day #6: At the beginning of a patch, identify: who you are, your level of certification, and the Service you are working for. At the end of the patch, please provide your Run Number. Understanding the complexity of some calls (cardiac arrest, critically ill patients) the Run Number may not be readily available. Please call the BHP back with the Run Number once transfer of care has occurred.
SWORBHP is happy to take part in #BellLetsTalk day to help both bring forth the discussion and end the stigma surrounding mental health.
Centralized Patching Tip of the Day #5: All LHSC ED physicians have received multiple communications about their roles as Centralized BHPs between 23:00-07:00 as well as their role as the BHP Secondary if the BHP Primary line fails. Please understand that there may be some confusion among a few of the LHSC patch physicians as to why they are receiving Regional Patches. We expect that this will decrease as this process becomes the norm.
Stay tuned for the release of a SWORBHP podcast this week on Epi use in the Bronchoconstriction Medical Directive. It was recorded on Friday and is in the final editing stages prior to release.
On behalf of the Staff & Medical Directors at the Southwest Ontario Regional Base Hospital Program, we would like to wish you a safe, healthy and happy holiday season!
Centralized Patching Tip of the Day #4: A reminder that when you are calling the BHP Primary phone line, the individual answering the phone will be the BHP between 07:00 and 23:00. You no longer have to talk to a triage nurse, clerical clerk between the hours of 07:00 and 23:00
