Hey Haligonians! You may have seen that restaurants are able to reopen in the HRM as of today. We wanted to give you a heads up that The Board Room will remain Retail Only until later this month. We’re taking a little extra time to get everything ready to serve you after the busy retail holiday season. Our soft reopening plan is for the 14th of January - we’ll have more details a little closer to then! ... For now - we have in store and online retail shopping available 7 days a week! Kobold Press is a wonderful publisher of Role playing materials compatible with 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons. We personally LOVE the Tome of Beasts and Creature Codex books, each of which has over 300 monsters to inject into your D&D campaigns and full colour artwork for each monster! There are cardboard standees for the sets as well (though stands are not included) so you don't have to search out a compatible mini. We can't say enough good things about their products. TEMPORARY CLOSURE - One day only Closed all day, Thursday Nov 26th You may have seen the announcement that there was a potential exposure at the Board Room on Nov. 14th from 9:30PM-Midnight, and while all of our staff have shown no symptoms, those who were working that day are following the NS Health guidelines and isolating and while waiting for their test results. ... Members of our staff who were not working during the potential exposure, have been holding down the fort with our Retail hours while the others isolate, and while we have no reason to believe there would be any issues, those staff are also going for a test Thursday afternoon just to be on the safe side. We want to keep ourselves, and our community as safe as we can! We apologize for any inconvenience, and hope to see you Friday when our new extended retail hours begin from 12pm-7pm every day! COVID 19 Update from the Board Room The Short of it: Cafe/Gaming Closed, Retail and Online OPEN! The Long of it: With the number of local cases on the rise, we at the Board Room Game Cafe have made the tough choice to close our dining and gaming area for a few weeks. We've had no notice of exposure, and all of our staff are feeling well, but we felt it was the right thing to do to keep our community safe.... We will, however, still be OPEN for in-store retail (Limit of 5 people in the store at a time, masks required, and distancing required), and for online order pickups. To help you with your holiday shopping, we will also be extending our retail hours starting this Friday November, 27th. Starting Friday, we will be open for retail shopping and online pickups from Noon-7pm, 7 days a week!
