WHAT IS THIS? This is part of a foundation system for a commercial project. This structural foundation will support a temporary sales presentation centre. There are four (4) helical piles and a 1 inch thick steel support plate that make up this single structural point. Based on our inhouse engineering design, we needed to install helical piles both vertically and on an angle to ensure the structural load above was properly secured. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HIT A ROCK!! Out of all the questions, we get this one the most. It's a great question. Our system is a little different than a post hole digger as they need speed to push up the dirt. Our system is based on torque and its slower revolutions but stronger for its size.... In most rocky soils our machines can actually move the rocks out of the way. But in some cases when there is a huge boulder and the post needs to be on the mark you need to take it out.
