Hello Daisy customers and donors. Sadly, The Daisy is going to be closing this Friday (November 27th) at 4 pm., until further notice. The decision is based on ...concern about the growing number of Covid cases in the province. The Daisy wishes to thank everyone who has been supporting us either by donations or by shopping at our store. We are sad to have to close. We enjoy meeting you all at the community at the store. In the meantime, some good news. Selected items at the Daisy are on SALE. Half price. A bargain on top of the great bargains you've come to expect at the Daisy. Our very best wishes for the holiday season. Stay safe. Keep your loved ones close. We will see you sometime in the New Year.

Christmas at the Daisy continues with lots of festive items to choose from. For entertaining family and friends, a set of dishes edged with sprigs of holly leaves and berries is just the thing. Serve drinks in our Christmas glasses and hot chocolate in our jolly Santa mugs. Planning on baking Christmas cookies as gifts? Make it extra special when you arrange them on one of our Christmas plates and containers. We have a large collection of Christmas cards and wraps at a fr...action of the cost you pay in a store. The same goes for our tree decorations and wreaths...they're a bargain and they're beautiful. In case you're looking for a fun present, we have a whole series of wooden signs in a folk style, great for adding that extra something, again at super reasonable prices. Our Christmas items have been selling fast so there are plenty of new ornaments and decorations to check out. Feeling in need of some cheering up? How about a purple faux fur car coat? You can't help smiling when you put it on..and besides looking great, it's as cozy as can be. For a young girl there's a lovely party or Christmas concert dress. A lace bodice is set off by a stylish little cardigan, and a sophisticated kitty knapsack teams up perfectly with the outfit. They'd be expensive in a store but at the Daisy they're a steal. For men we have a pair of fine leather gloves, warm coats and some great footwear. If you're looking for a way to boost your home decor, we just received some beautiful cushions. One is in a lovely red silk that would work well now..and all year round as well. Two brass table lamps are a fantastic find for a living room, library or the hallway. And finally a brand new galvanized mailbox - it could be a gift because it's still in its own packaging, or maybe you want to retire your old one. Either way it's another great find at the Daisy, the best little department store on the South Shore. Don't forget..the Daisy is closing for the season on December 12th. That doesn't leave much time to cash in on the great finds..so hurry in.

The Daisy could use movies and games on disc! Since we began taking donations again we've received plenty of everything except DVDs and Blu-rays, so if you've got discs you no longer want, we could use them -- especially with the holidays coming on fast, and The Daisy closing for the year on December 12th. But no VHS tapes, please: we can't sell them!

The Daisy offers rummage boxes for $3.00. These are egg carton boxes full of an assortment of clothing. The boxes are packed in children, men's and women's sizes. We currently have a big supply of boxes so visit the Daisy and find some treasures. Happy shopping!

First a heads up for all our valued Daisy customers: the Daisy is closing for the holidays on Saturday, 12th December. We will be reopening on Tuesday, 12th January. Please be sure to mark those dates in your calendar. Meantime, if you are looking for Christmas gift ideas or decorations, the Daisy is the place for you. Come soon though, as our Christmas collection is going fast. There are lights for your tree and your home. A lovely Creche to take centre place in a Chri...stmas display. Platters and plates that are perfect for your Christmas entertaining, plus wreaths and table-top trees, already decorated. For children and babies we have super sweet Christmas clothing at super sweet prices. And if you want to save on cards and Christmas wrapping, there's lots to choose from. There is plenty more to check out at the Daisy beside Christmas goodies. For instance, our jewelry counter features some beautiful new pieces, including a selection of silver bracelets and watches. Also some elegant necklaces for a special someone, or to wear to a Covid safe party. In clothing we have two very good faux sheep-skin coats. Not only do they look great, they are bound to be toasty warm. In the men's section come and see the winter coats - two by London Fog plus pants by Dockers and some good quality denim. Looking for a good read? How about a Concise Oxford English Dictionary, or a hard-cover book on heavy duty bikes or a coffee table book about Springsteen. And the best deal of the week - three pairs of steel toed winter work boots - in pristine shape. So come for Christmas at the Daisy...treasures galore at bargain prices.

After a brief halt The Daisy is very happy to be able to receive donations again. But PLEASE remember, we had to stop for a time because of the overwhelming amo...unt coming in. With that in mind, we ask that donators not bring in too much at one time, so that we will be less likely to have to close our donation door again. We take clothing and footwear, household goods such as bedding, kitchen and dining accessories, craft supplies, books, comics, music CDs and LP records, and movies and games on DVD and Blu-ray (please, no VHS tapes). We are still unable to accept electronic gear or large furniture. The Daisy is very grateful for all the community support. Without it, we could not continue to help fund the purchase of necessary equipment at the South Shore Regional Hospital. Thank you.

This week at the Daisy: There's nothing quite as deliciously warm as a fur coat when winter winds are howling. The Daisy has a selection of both faux and genuine fur, all silky and soft. Talking of warmth in winter, we have two real sheepskin vests, ideal for a smaller child and guaranteed to keep a little one snug even on the coolest days.... If you want an early taste of Christmas, come in and see our Dickens winter village. The little homes are charming gifts or you can add them to your own collection. And a special feature this week: three newly crocheted throws to tuck around your knees, or as a thoughtful gift for someone as these lovely warm days come to an end. And finally, The Daisy will be honouring Canada's veterans this coming Wednesday. We will be closed for that day. Please wear a poppy to show that we will never forget their sacrifice for our freedom.

At The Daisy this week...these boots are made for walking. Nancy Sinatra would love our display of boots..perfect for walking and showing who's boss when you are out in the snow this winter. And for a bit of extra warmth, the Daisy has all kinds of vests: wooly ones, puffy ones and sherpa lined ones. There'll be no more shivering in one of these. And you can beat ol' man winter in our luxurious faux fur coat - who's to know it's fake and who cares anyway? And talking a...bout winter, come and see our frosty decorations. It's not Christmas at the Daisy yet but these dishes will start you dreaming of a white one. Also great to have on hand, a box or two of wine bowls. We have four boxes with eight glasses in each. Easy to store until the big event..or to use now as a change from the usual wine glass. The weather's definitely turned a colder. Time to instal some energy saving drapes. The Daisy has four attractively stripped panels with thermal lining. Cold drafts don't stand a chance. For men, check out the extra large Calgary Flames shirt. It's brand new..a super find for a hockey fan. And on display, a new leather briefcase to hide your lunch, with lots of room for a report or two as well. A couple of solid wood coffee tables and an office chair have been reduced to almost give-away prices. It would be a shame to miss out on such great bargains. In fact, the Daisy is full of bargains all waiting for you to find them.
