Some progress! I love a well executed cigar arm this one gets a traditional six pleat front facing. For comfort sake modern foam is used on the arms. Inside back has springs but it will just get a four way tie because it will never see as much abuse as the seat.

A Little flash back to this fun chair. Currently we are in the process of upholstering another chair for the same awesome client. The next piece is going to be just a little more conservative. Choosing fabrics with this lady is always the high light to your day.

Abracadabra! Here my friends is a hand tied seat edge. This is the Cadillac of suspension in furniture because the entire front edge can firmly move up and down. Rhonda and I charge $280 for this part of the service and that has been the price for 20 years. But now I am ready for the next step. Rhonda laughs at me because this is how I burn the armpits out of my tshirts.

I am curious how many people still know how to deal with this in Canada? I have had some pretty amazing teachers over the years and if I don’t say so myself, they had a pretty good student. Hand tied straw filled Chamfered seat edge.
