We should enjoy our food. It is healthier to eat unhealthy food with a proper attitude than to eat healthy food with a sour attitude. Far too often, there are so many guilt feelings around food. Food is meant to nourish us and therefore we should eat, indulging all the senses. ... Sight - enjoy the colours of the food, the arrangement, the setting of the plate. Smell - enjoy the aroma of the food. Scents can invoke happy memories and emotions. Hearing - listen to the sounds created as you chew your food or cut the bread or sizzle of a hot dish. Touch - feel the texture and temperature of the food Taste - does the food taste sweet, sour, salty, bitter, astringent or pungent? This is eating with mindfulness. Unfortunately, very often, we are eating on the go and therefore our digestion gets all messed up. Place bunch in a clean jar, with an inch of water - like you would with flowers. . Loosely cover with an upside - down plastic packet. . Leave in the fridge. .
