I'm a mom. It comes first, always. And like all parents, this week has been one full of anxiety and uncertainty. As we embark on a new chapter in a world that has become brand new in many ways, this one hits harder. It feels like not only are we still finding our way through the dust, but we now have to push our kids through it and on a different path altogether. This post has nothing to do with products I'm selling, or services I can offer. Just one parent to another wanting... to say, you are making the right choice. It doesnt matter what that choice is. Homeschool, sending your children back to school, or distance learning. You are making the right choice. There is no right or wrong, only what works for you and your family. If you are feeling guilty, know I am too. If you are feeling angery, yup! I know that feeling. If you are feeling nervous, excited, ready, and yet overwhelmed, know that there are parents out there, just like you, feeling this too. Let's be there for each other, and work together. Keep our communities safe, and our schools will be safe. Let's make good choices to allow our children to learn for us, and from this moment in time. Welcome October and welcome to the first full moon of the month. October 2020 will bring us two full moons making this month full of energy and awakening. Tonight is the perfect time to release. Using this simple ritual you can effectively release and remove what is no longer serving you. Start by finding a quiet space outdoors where you can sit comfortably under the light of the moon. On a piece of paper write all the things you would like to release from your life. For ex...ample: pain, fear of failure, feeling as though you are not good enough, addictions, or behaviours. With your attention set to the sky, read your list out loud. In a fire safe container outside, burn your list. Give thanks to your higher power and grandmother moon. Harvest Full Moon tonight lovely souls! A harvest full moon is one occurs nearest to the Autumn Equinox. It typically appears bigger, brighter and more colourful then an average full moon becuase of its placement in the sky. Traditionally this would be the time that farmers would harvest the last of their summer crops. But we can also use "harvesting our crops" as a spiritual metaphor. Consider what you have done over the past summer months, where has your path led you? The H...arvest moon can force us to release memories and feelings that are no longer serving us, allowing as to start over fresh with a new season. Take a moment and just breath. Let's talk about crystal grids. So many people are intimidated by them. But there is no need to be. Crystal grids are a wonderful way to show off and use your Crystals. There is no right or wrong way to set one up. Follow your intuition and let your creativity flow. Here are some helpful tips to get you into the mindset for creating a beautiful grid. Decide on your purpose for the grid. Your intention is a key element in empowering the crysta...ls energy. Your intention is what you will use to charge the crystals. Find a location to create your grid where it will not be disturbed. Curious children will want to touch. Keep your grid a safe distance from little fingers. Cleanse this space using sage, incense or a small bowl of salt. Place your crystal layout in a geometric pattern. You can use a premade grid, or simply place them on a flat surface. Don't be afraid to add nature. Flowers, leaves, or even shells can be added to make your grid feel complete. Place your Master Crystal in the center of the grid. This can be any crystal that makes you feel the most connected to your intentions. When in doubt, use a clear quartz point. Relax and center yourself.
