Happy ending to Finn’s Homeward Bound adventure! Thankfully due to his Microchip injection, he has happily found his way back home to his Pet-Parent.

Are you looking for a kitten to love and cuddle? We have the perfect kittens for you. Kittens are available for $250.00+tax adoption fee. This includes the full series of kitten vaccines, spay/neuter and microchip. Kittens will have been dewormed and treated for fleas and ear mites. Kittens will be adopted on a first come, first serve basis. We have 3 kittens available, 2 boys and 1 girl. All are approximately 4 months of age. Yes there maybe places that have cheaper cats but they also receive donations to help subsidize the cost. We don’t.

Winnie came in for her first set of Puppy vaccines a few weeks ago. At first she was a bit unsure about the whole thing but after a good cuddle & pep-talk from Dr. Laura she was super duper brave! Who doesn’t love some good old puppy snuggling?

What did the Dalmatian say after eating all her dinner? That hit the spot!

Congrats to Mama Buxton! Buxton had a C-Section early May and now has a bouncy baby Salvo to thank for it! This single-litter pup didn’t waste anytime growing! Check out Buxton & Salvo’s family picture while getting their vaccines last week! Excuse Salvo, he was a little shy for his photo op.

BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Martin & Stephanie on their beautiful litter! After a very successful C-section performed by Dr. Laura Ryan, Mama Sookie had the pleasure of meeting her 6 new bouncing baby puppies. These wee Boerboel / French Bulldog crosses may be an unusual mix but boy are they CUTE! We believe that Sookie will be a great mother to this adorable litter. We have just momma cat still looking for her new home! All her kitties have found homes thank you very much everyone!! Please contact 226 402 0183 or stop by the clinic if you are interested in giving the lovely momma cat a loving home. Momma cat looks to have had a previous eye injury which has since healed over but her one eye has been left with a bit of scarring which doesn’t seem to affect her at all. She is super sweet and looks to be young (approx 1 yr). Adoption includes her spay, first vaccinations, deworming, flea treatment.

If you ever hear the word ear mites from a vet and your really just not sure what they are here is a video to show you. If you don’t like creepy crawlers best not watch. This is only 4 times magnification

We had a lovely basset hound puppy in today. He acted like a real goose when he was in. Plenty of faces were made on his part. How adorable

Just giving an update on Simon the hit by car cat. He has gone through a fair bit. He had a surgery to repair his broken jaw and had a feeding tube in so he could be fed. He took that out recently himself and has taken to being syringe fed instead. He is walking. His hind end is weak and one of his legs will probably need amputating still but as you will see he is getting some physio by Dr Laura to hopefully help. Hope you enjoy seeing his progress.

This is a stray cat we have in our clinic right now. He is still in rough shape. His hind end doesn’t work too well, we are hoping for more improvement with time. Although X-rays look good in his back end he is not using both legs. His jaw is broken and his skull is fractured. He has a long road ahead of him if everything goes right. We have been calling him Simon, but if his owner is out there we would love to hear. We are taking the best care of Simon that we can, he has been through a lot.

Went to see these cuties yesterday. There was so much puppy love had. All but one has found there home. I wish everyday was puppy day.

A new home has been found. Pebbles goes to her new home on Tuesday.

This is Geezer. Her owner noticed a while ago that she was quieter and was drinking and urinating more than normal. She called us out to her house to look at Geezer to investigate the matter. We did bloodwork and found out that she was diabetic. She was started on insulin injections and a special diabetic food, but proved to be not easy for her owner to give injections to. She continued with the special food and Geezer started improving clinically she had more energy and was not drinking and urinating as much. Good news came yesterday when we re-checked her blood glucose and it was normal! We are happy to say that Geezer is in diabetic remission thanks to her owner’s quick response to her clinical signs and determination to keep her on that diet that she wasn’t happy about eating at first!

We also have to welcome Phoenix to our clinic. He will be staying with us for a few weeks while his parents are on vacation. Let’s hope we can make his time with us also feel like a vacation for him.

Today was the day we have been working towards for a very long time. Getting approval for the clinic. It has all paid off. Changing an old bank into a vet clinic is not easy but it has been done. We are happy to announce that Thedford Veterinary Hospital is now open, and hopefully here to stay. We are thankful for all the support we have received and hope this support continues into the future as we grow. We look forward to seeing and helping every patient we can. We will be having an open day this Saturday 12.00pm onwards, hope to see you there! Also just an add on will still be doing mobile house calls.

Thank you to everyone who shared and liked our posts over the last week. We have had a great start to our business. We have met lots of wonderful animals and owners this week and I hope we get to see them all again. I hope we also get to see more new clients and help more animals. That's what we are here for. If you have a query don't be afraid to ask! We can do a lot of work as a mobile vet but we just can't do surgeries or X-rays. We hope to change that in the near future. ... The biggest lesson I learnt this week is that nearly all of the animals we met this week were definitely happier at home and easier to inject and medicate, and more acceptable to strangers.
