Reflection! We were so blessed to celebrate a marriage near and dear to our hearts this past weekend. The last few days have been a time to slow down, gather together and enjoy one another’s company. Each time we are able to witness the ceremony of someone we love, it feels like a time to reflect and reground ourselves. We’re reminded of love, patience, joy, excitement and the potential of the relationships in our lives. We find ourselves asking Are we nourishing the relati...onships that are important to us? Is there someone we need to forgive, someone we can better express our love and appreciation to? After this past weekend we feel excited and renewed in our love for those around us! Let me walk you through their day.. It all started with getting ready, anticipation, excitement and waiting as the hours melted away to the big event of I do ...Natalya shared an emotional first look with her dad followed by a equally emotional and romantic first look with her husband to be. Their ceremony was moving. I hid my tears behind my camera as I captured them singing and praising. Their love for god poured from them as they worshiped, accompanied by their guests who all stood behind them. This was so emotional and beautiful. I had never witnessed something like this at a wedding ceremony and I left hoping I’d see more couples do this in the future. Her dad officiated the ceremony, got to marry off his little girl. N&S said their I do’s sealed it with a kiss and celebrated into the evening. Their reception was florals galore and I got to witness speeches that let me get to know the couple even better than before. They even got a killer sunset which is a known staple for @the.gathered swipe to the last photo to see him carry her off towards the sunset. Congratulations Natalya & Sean. I honestly feel privileged to have been there to capture each and every emotion, moment and event that happened on your day. This day was made possible by many amazing vendors! If you haven’t seen our stories lately, we are excited to partner with @fiorefineevents for a couples night here at the farm! Couples will progress through their dinner as they take in the beauty of this serene farm with each course being served on a different part of the property. As vendors in the wedding industry we have walked alongside many couples as they've struggled with the stress of planning and re-planning their weddings. We want to create an evening for you to unw...ind, enjoy each others company and breathe in the calm of being away from all of life's stresses, if only just for one evening. The ticket cost is for 2 people and includes a welcome drink, delicious appetizers and a lovely farm to table dinner served in the large tent. You'll end the evening by a cozy bonfire, complete with S'mores and hot drinks. We have also partnered with Sackcloth and ashes to gift you with one of their beautiful blankets for you to use throughout the evening and take home with you (valued at over $150 CAD). Our lovely co-host, The Prosecco Cart will be making an appearance and additionally, you can expect some other fun things, including some photo opportunities with Common & Co Wedding! Some portions of the dinner will be picnic style, so please choose attire with this in mind. We will provide bug spray, but if you have a favourite kind, feel free to bring that along for yourself.
