(Mask use is based on availability - due to shortages) 4) Before booking and attending a service call to a home, our team will first verify that: A) The home is not in quarantine B) No person in the home has symptoms of a cold or fever. C) Nobody in the household has traveled or been in contact with anyone who has traveled in the past 14 days. Today, the owner of the Gentlemen Plumbers came across an ad on Kijiji that caught his eye and made him laugh out loud. Jeremy (pictured here) had made a plea for tickets to The Backstreet Boys concert in an effort to secure the future happiness of his family. (See post below for full story). After reading that, how could we - "The Gentlemen Plumbers" turn a blind eye? How would AJ, Nick, Kevin, Brian and Howie feel if Jeremy and his wonderful wife weren't standing directly ...beneath them with arms held high, reaching out for just one brush of Nick's shoestring? We couldn't. So we grabbed them a pair of tickets in the front of the stage... Congrats Jeremy! Have fun at the concert tonight! And next time, don't wait till the last minute! :)

Inspect your hoses and valves Washing machine hoses are one of the most common causes of flooding in the summer, as it’s one of the weakest links in your system. Inspect your hose to ensure a strong seal and turn your valves off on and off to ensure they’re operating correctly. ... 2. Verify your hot water heater works well Summer is typically a bit of a ‘down time’ for your tank, so this is the perfect opportunity to ensure that it’s working correctly. Drain and inspect the tank, check the anode rod and take a look at the burner assembly. If you’re unsure about how to do any of these things, call our team and we’ll send a technician over to run through the process. 3. Prepare for vacations Pressure problems often occur when your plumbing isn’t actually being used. This means that leaks and floods typically occur while you’re either sleeping or on vacation. Prepare leaving for vacation, we recommend that you turn your system entirely off. You can do this from your master water shutoff. 4. Check your water pressure While you’re away, the taps are not running and the toilet is not being flushed, and this can result in a build up of pressure in the system. Pressure builds up over time, so it is always a good idea to have a pressure regulator installed in your home.
