We're not sure that it's the 'worst' mistake you can make on LinkedIn... But reaching out to 'connect' with a person and not doing anything further is certainly a missed opportunity to leverage your network, add value, build the relationship and potentially create opportunities. So, what's the best approach to making the most of the people you connect with on LinkedIn? Follow-up with all new connections and send them a short note.... Tailor this message and share why you wanted to connect with them. Briefly tell the new connection about yourself - the key here is sharing information that's relevant to the person and what they do. Take the conversation from LinkedIn to email, phone or in person, and build the relationship offline. Most importantly, always be genuine and authentic in your approach. But never connect and then do nothing about that connection. Start the conversation and see where it goes for both parties. Talk to us at theinternationalwriter.com for more ways in which you can leverage LinkedIn for greater visibility, leads and opportunities. #networking #buildsrelationships #personalization

As we practice social distancing during #covid19, it’s so important that we engage in creative activities that bring us together virtually. Let technology be your friend and explore different ways to nurture emotional connections with others in your lives. Some great examples below - the Chris Martin (Coldplay) online mini-concert and Maurizio Marchini vocal performance were our personal favourites. #digitalsolutions #creativity #connections

Currently, the #coronaviruspandemic is forcing companies to embrace #remotework. It may help managers recognize the benefits to their organizations, such as promoting #collaboration and #communication. To work effectively, remote employees need to actively manage schedules to maintain a connection with managers and colleagues, and create separation between home and work. Understand how you work most effectively and structure your time and space. Unplug, to be fully present w...hen you are at home. Be visible and engaged when you are at work. #workingathome #remoteemployees #productivity

So... what's the key to creating great videos on #LinkedIn? We know that #video content has become one of the best mediums for publishing on LinkedIn and for driving people to your profile, but how do you go about creating memorable content on the platform when you might be FEARFUL of getting in front of the camera?! Here are three quick tips:... 1 Create a schedule - Plan the best days and times to film, then stick to it. A schedule can be a great way of keeping you honest and accountable, when making a video could be the last thing you want to do. 2 Brainstorm your topics - Don't just sit in front of the camera and ad lib because it will end badly. Map out some ideas and pull together a rough outline of the points you want to cover. 3 Focus on your audience - Speak to the "so what?" and talk to the people that matter. Think about what they want to hear and what they might find useful, and tap into that. It'll keep you focused and on point, plus drive greater #engagement. As LinkedIn consultants and content #writers, we'd love to help you get better at creating video on LinkedIn, so leave a comment or send a message and let's connect You can also follow our work at theinternationalwriter.com #videomarketing #linkedinprofile #content

November has been a busy month and what's key during a busy time is to pause, reflect and be thankful for the incredible clients we have. Pragilis Solutions values their team, customers and affiliates, and recently hosted an excellent 'meet and greet' event in Vancouver to bring everyone together.

In the rush to put out content across your business platforms, you might sacrifice quality over quantity. A good piece of content will live far longer than the latest social media share so create compelling content that inspires. http://bit.ly/2C5MuFK #contentwriting #social
