one in ten Approximately 15 million babies are born preterm each year, accounting for about one in 10 of all babies born worldwide. Today is #worldprematurityday and this day holds so much significant to our own parenting journey and The OVer Company's start. Olive was born February 27, 2015 at 32 weeks gestation. We spent a long time in the London, Ontario NICU. When our 5lb baby girl was released from hospital care, our concerns as parents only grew. We didn’t have anythi...ng to put on her car seat that would protect her from the outside germs, the cold temperatures and from strangers hands. I created a cover for her that would protect from all of these elements and also provide the proper air circulation to her in the car seat. All while keeping her warm and cozy! Olive inspired us to create a products parents want AND need in their journey. Our NICU experience gave us an overwhelming need to give back to other families like us, who were facing the unexpected hospital life with their child. We are so proud to focus our donations in 2020 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, who give back in amazing ways 365 days a year to families of children in hospital care.
