VIRTUAL SUNDAY FAMILY ARTS Paper City: Experiment with Paper Sculpture Techniques You’re invited to join The Reach for a live art making session with instructor Austin Kwidzinski.... This lesson is inspired by the work of contemporary Canadian artist Clint Neufeld, who transforms engines and other mechanical objects by making them in a delicate material like porcelain. This shift to an unexpected material plays with our expectations and gives forms new meaning. For this special Virtual Sunday Family Arts, we will be exploring our own relationships between materials and form. Participants will be shown different paper cutting techniques as we build an industrial cityscape using delicate colored construction paper. Instead of being a cold, dark and rigid cityscape, our creations will be vibrant, decorative, and fragile! This 30 minute virtual session will be streamed through Facebook Live on Sunday, October 18 at 1:30pm. The activity is for ages 8 and up and is most fun when working in pairs or groups. You will need: Pencil Scissors Construction paper Glue stick Tape Thanks to the generosity of the Prospera Credit Union we are able to offer this program for free!
