We’re happy to unveil a special project we’ve been working on these last few months: a mini museum display of artifacts and old photographs/documents showing the history of Gaze Seed Company, dating back to 1925. Come take a trip back in time to when seed packs cost 39 cents and phone numbers only had four digits. Featuring paintings by local artist Christine McLean.

Time to start planting fall bulbs! We still have a great selection of Tulips, Daffodil, Crocus, Hyacinth, and more.

We had a couple of people ask us how the self watering feature of our Oasis pots work, so here’s a better look! The attached reservoir tray has a window that allows you to see when the soil is completely drenched (excess water is pooling at the bottom), and facilitates bottom watering. The extra water is slowly absorbed as needed! Best to pair with a well draining soil mix like pro-mix premium potting mixture, and optional added perlite.

Submitted by Trent & Donna via email: Just a couple pics of a parsnip grown in Witless Bay in a mix of composted chicken manure and kelp from your seed planted in early may under remay cloth until early July. This was the biggest but the rest were bigger than usual. As always great seed!
