I work with entrepreneurs to help you create online courses in your zone of genius. If you've been running your business for a while and want to reach more people, creating an online course might be the right answer. But creating an online course means you go back to being a beginner for a while. You have to learn how to get the ideas out of your head and onto the page. You have to learn how to create a curriculum that actually teaches people something. And you have to tackl...e the tech without wanting to punch your computer. Okay, maybe some punching is necessary. It's tech, after all. It doesn't do what it's supposed to do on a good day. But listen, if you're an experienced entrepreneur, the idea of being a beginner is probably one of the reasons why you're not pursuing this opportunity. You're used to knowing what to do. That's why I offer my 30-day program to help you create an online course quickly and easily. Because you don't want to become an instructional designer. You don't want to become a curriculum developer. You want to REMAIN a business owner who happens to run an online course. I'm not trying to make more instructional designers in the world. I'm working to help you create the impact you want to make. And the best way I can do that is to help you create an online course. Grab this month's issue of my digital magazine to learn more about how my clients think big and move fast. And then let's talk about how you can create an online course to help grow your business. I make creating online courses easier so you can make them faster. https://heatherdeveaux.com/magazine

Before you start worrying about how to update, maintain or fix a typo in your online course, you have to build it. But building an online course is a lot of work right? It is if you don't know what to do. It can feel like a never-ending marathon.... It isn't if you know the exact right steps to take. So what if you knew the exact right steps to take to build an online course? Would you do it? For everyone course online, there are many more in the wings waiting to be perfected, waiting to be updated, waiting to be reviewed one more time because people were just flying by the seat of their pants. And uncertainty slows people down. So much time wasted in trying to learn, trying to figure out, trying to test, trying to perfect. The reason my clients create online courses quickly is that they don't need to waste any time "trying to figure things out." I point them in the direction, give them the map, and cheer them on all the way to the finish line. Check out this video about the only three times you should update and maintain your online course...after you build it. Obviously. And then let's chat about how you can get started creating an online course right now. https://youtu.be/YChERtlMldQ

When it comes to onboarding new students, course creators go to great leaps and bounds to wow and amaze students. Experience is everything, right? But what about the offboarding process? I can't tell you how many courses I've taken where I just lost access to an online classroom or there was no wrap-up or survey done at the end. It's a lost opportunity. Here's why: Despite what you might think, you get more than one chance to make a good first impression. Think about it: wh...y do marketers say that you need to share something 7 or 10 or 21 times before someone pays attention to it? But you only get ONE chance to leave a lasting impression. If you had to choose one impression to make, make it the last interaction you have with your students before they wrap up your online course. It means better referrals, recommendations, and testimonials. Which means your online course grows. Check out the latest article from Think Big, Move Fast, and feel free to book a call with me to chat about your online course ideas. So many course creators are obsessed with filling funnels and automating the bejesus out of their businesses. So many course creators are focused on fixing their messaging and putting more money into ads to reach more people. But where are the course creators concerned with the outcomes they promise? ... Where are the course creators who are focused on creating great - not just good enough - courses? Where are the course creators who are focused on context-rich content instead of best practices? You know where best practices get you? Just more of the same. In this episode of Think Big, Move Fast I'm talking about how to onboard students and support them without sacrificing course quality and without falling victim to life in automation mode. I don't like it when everyone is doing the same thing. I suspect you don't either. https://anchor.fm//Episode-20-Onboarding-Students-to-Your-

Are you thinking about creating an online course but you can't even really think about the course itself because you're caught up in what happens AFTER you create it? It happens. We can't help but think 10 steps ahead of where we are, always trying to solve problems we don't have yet. Which, ironically, creates more problems right now. As an experienced online course creator and instructional designer, my advice is to focus on what's going on right now. In other words, if y...ou don't even have a course yet but you're already worried about how to onboard new students, this is going to take much longer than it needs to. When you work with me, I keep you focused on the task at hand: creating the damn course. Then we'll talk about what to do with it. If you're struggling to see how it all fits together and that's keeping you from getting started, I want to invite you to book a call with me. I can show you how to get the ideas out of your head and onto the page, organized, and into an online course platform in 30 days flat. Plus, because I know you're already thinking, "but then what?", I send you a kit in the mail to help you onboard your new students. I see how it all fits together. Let me show you how. Creating online courses Just. Got. Easier. Let's talk. https://heatherdeveaux.com
