How to have a great at home workout @thomaswall Aside from not setting up your bench too close to your desk and hitting it during your set, let’s break down mindset, pre/intra/post nutrition, and training. Going to keep this one relatively simple for you. Mindset: Probably the worst saying ever created in life I’ll see it when I believe it nope You’ll see it when you believe it Before you even start the workout you need to have the mentality this is going to be a... great session! Such a simple thing but a common problem I’m seeing amongst people with their at home workouts. Watch a motivational video, listen to your favourite music, put your phone away and have intent. Nutrition: We want a high quality complete protein source and good quality carbs pre and post workout. Example as you guys always see me eat. Some oatmeal with mixed berries and PB with a protein shake pre and then post workout maybe some chicken rice and veggies. Just an example there are 1000’s of options. Before the workout we want to be very hydrated and you can also optionally use a pre workout/coffee for more energy! Intra workout carbs are optional but a good idea if the workout is VERY strenuous. Training: have a plan. Whether you want to hire a coach, find a routine online, or create your own. you MUST have a routine set in stone. Don’t treat at home workouts any different that ones at the gym. You want to track your weights and reps each session in an app or your notes and try and progress as much as possible. Make sure your workout is intense and you’re training to failure. Do as many reps as you possibly can while using good form and range of motion, and feel the muscles contracting. That’ll do it, short and simple Save these tips for a good at home workout. If you need any extra personal help setting up your own at home workout/nutritional plan based off your goals, send me a dm or click the link in my bio! I’d love to help This is an amazing time to get ahead with your fitness goal before the summer if you use this time right! See more
