Good morning patients. We are happy to post that Chiropractic care can begin returning to a new normal. For the time being Dr. Thompson will be seeing patients at the Waterford office Monday & Wednesday mornings and Tuesday & Saturday mornings at the Simcoe office. We will continue to book patients keeping social distancing in mind, booking one person per time slot. Dr. Thompson will continue to disinfect the treatment room after each patient. I feel compelled as a Chiropractor practicing in Ontario that I should state my opinion concerning COVID-19. Unfortunately, some in my profession have taken this opportunity to exploit our current situation and make unsubstantiated claims that Chiropractic can help immunity. THERE IS NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THE CLAIM THAT CHIROPRACTIC TREATMENT BOOSTS OR SUPPORTS IMMUNITY. If you see an ad or post that claims that Chiropractic can help immunity do not believe it! I’...m writing this to support the majority in my profession that are evidence based and are following the guidelines of our College and the Ministry of Health and only seeing emergency cases at this time. Unfortunately, like any profession, we do have some bad apples. Chiropractic critics and the media love to point this out and rightfully so. I believe it is my responsibility to point out that the vast majority of Chiropractors are evidence based and follow the rules.
