2021 marks the 10th year we have been selling Pioneer seed. We are still so excited to be this journey with Pioneer. Every January we start a planning process. This year we are not planning for the 2021 crop but for the 2022 crop. We plan by customer what we think you will grow in 2022. This information is then used to signal seed production. This week I learned that in our maturity we are getting:... 4 new corn hybrids. 3 of which have Qrome options and 1 is Aquamax. 6 new soybean varieties, with 2 having Peking SCN and 2 with stacked phytophthora genes. 2 new food grade soybean varieties in the 2700- 2900 chu range that have SCN. Full lineup of BMR corn for dairy producers. Look what showed up on our load this week . Pretty excited to get P0434AM out on a lot of farms next year. It is a 97 day flower with a slower dry down. The long grain fill means test weight and grain quality should be awesome. Having an early flower also mitigates risk if it turns hot and dry. Spreading out pollination timings is always a great strategy.
