Town of Langenburg 23.12.2020

Another beautiful morning in Langenburg, I thought it would be a great idea to share with you the game of Crokicurl! *DID YOU KNOW* we have set up a Crokicurl game in Centennial Park? (Located where the pool is)! Curious what Crokicurl is?... You take crokinole and put it together with curling and you get crokicurl a life-sized version of crokinole played on ice using smaller, lighter curling rocks made of plastic. The plastic curling rocks are used because they are easier to use and have less distance to travel. Like the crokinole board, the play area of crokicurl has posts around the inner ring to make it a little more challenging. Check out the rules here: http://langenburg.ca/p/parks-playgrounds We were fortunate to receive funding from Parkland Valley Sport, Culture & Recreation District to replace our crokicurl rocks and we couldn't be any more excited about them! They are terrific! Thank you Parkland Valley for the support! We invite you to go have a game! REMEMBER to follow the current Provincial COVID guidelines by visiting https://www.saskatchewan.ca//emergi/2019-novel-coronavirus Once you have played please fill out this 2 minute survey! This feedback is very helpful for improving our recreation services as well as a requirement for us to continue receiving Sask Lotteries funding. https://forms.gle/ZhbsEP8VqASFxBpi6 A shout out to the Fire Department, Public Works Crew and volunteers that got the crokicurl ready for action! ~Juli Mitschke- Recreation Director
