CONFESSION - I had never seen a single STAR WARS movie. That's right, I've completely missed out on one of the most successful movie sagas of all time. As a toy store owner, and someone who orders thousands of dollars worth of Star Wars Lego I thought it was time to see what all the fuss was about! You may have noticed the sad state of our Lego wall in recent weeks. It was most unfortunate that Lego was unable to supply Canadian retailers with Lego for fouth quarter. There has been a massive shortage and even Lego's online store is plagued with 'sold out' signs. We just got the green light to resume ordering!!! LEGO is on its way, and while it won't be here in time for Christmas, it's the perfect way to spend those gift certificates. I am honoured to announce that we are selling the last copies of 'Backpacks and Saddlebags' at the Treehouse Toy Co. Don Davies was a local author, artist, musician, school educator and avid outdoor enthusiast. His third book, 'Backpacks and Saddlebags' explores a life of hiking and cycling adventures, with an underlying message of the vital need to protect and preserve the natural environment for the generations to come. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of Don's book will go into an ongoing annual Scholarship to support the post secondary education of a local high school graduate. Don passed away in June 2019, but through his writing, his legacy of inspiring a love for adventure and wild spaces can continue.
