These brigades spent their weekend working on some of a 4 day course on extrication training. Often Fire Service members spend hundreds of hours training to serve their communities. For everyone....but especially for our Brother and Sister First Responders in Pictou County.

An MVC occurred at a very busy intersection this evening. One of the Fire Service's many roles is often to ensure safety of all first responders on scene. It is a great reminder that it is important to slow down and make sure everyone on these, often very busy scenes, are safe. Truro Fire Service

For all first responders, especially MFRs and those in close contact. From Alberta..a very valuable and sad reminder to wear your mask and be reminded it only takes one person.

Our thoughts are with the Members and Families at Alma Fire Department, just across the county line. It has been a rough week for this fire service and its members.

Colchester as well as East Hants, Pictou and Musquodoboit Ground Search and Rescue teams were deployed in Colchester County today to assist in a missing persons case. Thank you GSAR members for all of your work. (photos shared from GSAR members)
