Yesterday we shot our annual Christmas Kettle’s commercial with Citytv and Lucy Zillio at The Salvation Army Railside Distribution Centre. Keep an eye out for the Christmas Kettles to appear in mid-November at your local stores. They may look a little different and we will also have new ways to donate. We ask that when you do see them, please considering donating as you are able.

Thanksgiving is a chance to count our blessings and share them with those in need. Although access to food should be a human right, many face food insecurity and don’t know when or where they’ll get their next meal. Together we can make a difference. This afternoon, members of the Salvation Army stopped by Toronto City Hall to hand out individually packaged PPE kits to community members and continued to encourage Torontonian’s to keep safe and healthy during COVID-19.

We are grateful for the continuous support of the Paramedic team from County of Simcoe, Nurse Practitioner from Barrie CHC and staff member from CMHA who visit The Salvation Army’s Barrie Bayside Mission Centre every week. They have been providing support in a variety of areas to help assist in keeping our most vulnerable population safe and healthy during this pandemic.

The 20th Annual Charity Golf Classic took place on Friday September 11th at The Country Club in Woodbridge, ON. We want to send a big "Thank You" to all our sponsors, participants, Country Club staff and the Army's own for making this event another great success.

Another successful Golf Classic in the books! This year’s tournament was different for many reasons but there was no shortage of good sportsmanship, hope and a whole lot of fun .
