We would like to thank all for the recent tips and assistance. A warrant for David Bolton was successfully executed in Deseronto. He will appear in court tomorrow for a bail hearing. He is charged with assault with a weapon, dangerous driving, breach of an undertaking and possession of a firearm when prohibited, all stemming from the incident on Monday. Nia:wen ... J. Brant

Update: Following an extensive search of the area David Bolton was not located. Any threat to the community had diminished as each zone was cleared. A warrant for his arrest is sought for domestic related charges. ... We thank the community for the tips we received as well as the patience of the schools and staff. Tyendinaga Police and The OPP will be on our Territory in an emergency situation that has come up just now. Police are on the hunt for David Bolton who is on a grey ATV in an impaired condition armed with two firearms, one believed to be a hand gun. He was last known to be in the Huron Brant and Bayshore Rd area. If he is seen call 911 immediately and do not engage. Again, there will be numerous police assets on the Territory. ... J. Brant

The Tyendinaga Police are ensuring Covid compliance at the Indigenous Cannabis Cup following a demonstration from concerned community members. In a compromise, we will be on the ground, in plain clothing, the entirety of the event. If you don't see us, rest assured we are there. As well a marked vehicle may be in the area for traffic concerns depending on other calls for service. Police and community worked together through this tough time to ensure safety for all, and for that I am grateful. Jay

Tyendinaga Police Service 02.10.2020

The Tyendinaga Police would like to welcome Constable Chris Worley from the Center Hastings OPP. Chris comes to the Tyendnaga Police on a secondment position to assist us off and on until the end of August, at which time he will be on full time duties in the community. Chris was chosen as he is a Tyendinaga Community member himself, and brings 18 years of experience to the fold. Chris will be patrolling in our vehicles, and assisting in an OPP uniform, as other members, incl...uding myself, have done before. The Tyendinaga Police are grateful for his valued assistance.
