University of Ottawa Sailing Club

It's that time of the year already! The boats are ready to hibernate for the winter and another great sailing season has come to a close.

The team took part in the CICSA Team Racing Nationals hosted by @mcgillsailing this past weekend. We were not able to get any racing in Saturday due to gusts of up to 35 knots. We took the afternoon to visit Old Montreal. We got some races in on Sunday. It was warrior sailing conditions. 2-4 degrees air temperature gusts over 20 knots and even some snow showers.

uOttawa Sailing competed at the CanAm Cup hosted by Queens in Kingston this past weekend. We had spectacular sailing conditions Saturday with winds of over 20 knots in the afternoon. Sunday was light and tricky sailing. The team finished 8th out of 17 teams from Canada and the US. Thanks Queens for organizing an awesome event! Our next events are the Team Racing Nationals at McGill and Fleet Racing Nationals at RMC
