Checking out the midnight colours at Cite Midtown (Montreal).
Absolutely love this photo taken by Sergio Clavijo of our Cite Midtown (Montreal) project.
We love a good buyer story. Thanks Toronto.com for write up. "Purchaser Stephanie Cabildo said she loves the idea of supporting an all-female development, and loves the idea of having a sense of community within the building."
To some, this is just brick. To the team behind Queensway Park (Toronto), this is the result of months and months of searching and comparing samples from around the world. The final choice is a thing of beauty!
A beautiful day at our Reina sales centre (689 The Queensway, Toronto)
Thrilled to share that River City 3 (Toronto) has obtained LEED Gold. This officially sets RC3 apart for its exceptional commitment to environmentally friendly design and construction. Well done to team!

Formwork at Cite Midtown (Montreal) is looking great!
Great article in World Architecture News about our Reina project. "Every aspect of Reina has been run by a woman in a leadership role with the goal of drawing awareness to the significant gender imbalance that exists in real estate development and providing role models to encourage more women to enter these fields." https://www.worldarchitecturenews.com//canadas-first-all-f

Here's to Melissa! Today is her 10 year anniversary at Urban Capital. She puts up with us all, gets S*%$ done and always does it with a smile. UC wouldn't be the same without her, so here's to 30 more ;)

Our Reina project has gorgeous south facing terraces with views of the Toronto skyline and the lake. These large, family friendly suites are one of the many things that makes us love this project so. damn. much. Our sales centre is opening in October - register today at www.reinacondos.com for more info
Mississauga Mayor, Bonnie Crombie came out to help us celebrate as we broke ground on M3, the third and tallest tower to join the M City family.
"This project has prodded other developers to raise the level of residential design in the local neighbourhood and Toronto as a whole." Quite the compliment, as RC3 takes home another major design win! The project has been announced as a 2020 OAA Design Excellence Awards Winner - click here to read more.
One of our favourite things to do is to compare original marketing renderings to the final product, it's our own way to ensure we are delivering what we promise. Here's a recent before and after of the lobby entrance of Gorsebrook Park (Halifax) - pretty darn close.
Gorsebrook Park (Halifax) - with its expansive lobby entrance and full visual connection to the park behind.
Construction is moving along nicely at Cite Midtown (Montreal).
Reflections of River City Phase 3 from the top of an almost complete Phase 4 (Harris Square).
The structural "W" at the back of Queensway Park (Toronto) is making quite the impact.
Phase 2 of our Gorsebrook Park (Halifax) project is getting ready to occupy this summer. This will mark the third condominium completed on the East Coast for us....here's to many more.
As part of ULI's spring meeting, Taya Cook (Urban Capital) and Sherry Larjani (Spotlight Developments) are having an important discussion to share their desire (and action) to level the playing field in real estate development. Join them 11am - 12pm tomorrow.
While we are known for our condo buildings, did you know that many of our projects have Townhouses as well? These offer the best of both worlds, with your own street level entrance, but also access to all the amenities condo life has to offer. A few lucky owners are moving in to their Gorsebrook Park (Halifax) townhomes this summer, and a few remain. If you want to learn more, email the team at [email protected]
Parents, are you going insane yet? Our Reina project has a task for your little ones to keep them busy (and to give you a chance to win a well deserved Indigo gift card). Have a look....
Our Reina project made it in to Oprah Magazine - giving us a bit of lighthearted happiness in this crazy time.
River City 3 has made the list of finalists for a prestigious Award of Excellence from the Quebec Order of Architects. Please show your support by casting your vote at at https://www.oaq.com//prix-dexcellence-en-a/vote-du-public/ Voting closes on March 27, 2020.
A nice construction update on our Kingsway by the River project.
Closings have begun this week at Gorsebrook Park Phase 1 in Halifax. By the end of the week those who bought from us will officially become GP homeowners. What a milestone (...and what a view!)
UC Office Tip #29 - sometimes it takes an entire office to change a lightbulb.
River City has been named the 3rd most influential building of the DECADE in Toronto (behind Aga Khan Museum and Ryerson's Student Learning Centre). What an honour!
Congrats to all the winners of the Reina Student Design Challenge! We were thrilled with the quality of the submissions and the thought out creativity behind a lot of the design. The 3 semi-finalists and one grand prize winner have now been revealed - click on the link to see their fantastic ideas.
Nice update on Harris Square's construction from our friends at UrbanToronto

"This marks the first time that a building in Toronto has won a CTBUH Award of Excellence in the awards' 18-year history, and is a rare distinction for RC3's designers, Saucier + Perrotte Architects and ZAS Architects, in the midst of a worldwide skyscraper boom."
It may be chilly outside, but there's nothing but warmth at No. 1 River Landing (Saskatoon)
Nothing lasts forever, and that's true of this fabulous view of RC3.
UC does everything with style. We spent the day checking out cool kitchen ideas around Toronto. Next up - a weekend in NYC to compare available designs.
Last week River City 3 (Toronto) represented Canada and won an Award of Excellence for Best Tall Building under 100m at the globally recognized CTBUH Awards. Check out the fabulous buildings we shared the spotlight with in the link below.
After decades of working together, the entire UC team wishes Neil Greer (the man, the myth, the legend of Laurentian Bank) a very happy retirement.
Calling all planning, design, architecture students - our Reina Student Design Challenge has cheque for $2,500 with your name on it! (well, almost....) Click the link for details and be sure to spread the word!
Our Reina team is keeping the collaborative design method going - this time by linking with the Girl Guides of Canada and hearing how the girls would design their Dream Teen Amenity. (hint: TVs, videos games and snacks were a recurring theme...)
Check out one of our very own featured in today’s New York Times - Taya Cook our Director of Development shares her insights on women (or the lack thereof) in the real estate development industry and offers some thoughts based on her own experience https://nyti.ms/2KfATau
We're well on our way at Cite Midtown (Montreal). Look for big changes happening over the next few months!

Our current favourite view of the city. River City (Toronto)

Seems that 'All Nova Scotia' is on to us....
Happy Back To School to all! (but especially to these awesome kids from the Canary District YMCA who came out to decorate our Harris Square (Toronto) hoarding last week...)
All our attention is on our latest site - Highpoint (Saskatoon). Our highly anticipated follow up to No. 1 River Landing is coming to market this September! If you aren't already on the registration list for the launch weekend, now is the time. --> www.highpointsaskatoon.com
Looks like the secret is officially out (great feature on our pool at River City - Toronto)
Why didn't we think of this?
It's always nice to go back to our projects for the night. This penthouse 'popup' at Lofts McGill Ouest (Montreal) has a spacious den which allows for views of old Montreal from the terrace on one side, and of the harbour from the terrace on the other. Which would you choose?
Oh, Toronto Life, West Don Lands have been very much a thing for awhile now......
A nice little write up about the all female Reina project below. *Warning: clicking on link and then exploring the Curbed.com website may lead to an hour lost looking at amazing architecture, interior design and cool ideas that make you want move/renovate/buy a new couch immediately. Or maybe that's just us.
What an evening! Thank you to everyone who came out for Reina's Design Collaboration Event. It was incredible to have so much valuable input and was a huge step towards what the condominium design process could, and should, be. Great things can be done when women (and some pretty cool men....) come together! ... A full gallery will be posted next week, stay tuned.
Our sales centre has moved in to the building at Gorsebrook Park (Halifax) - and our owners will be soon as well. Occupancy is officially starting this fall!
This week we finished our final PDI at No. 1 River Landing (Saskatoon). When the homeowners walked in their first response was "this is f'ing amazing!!". Congrats to all our owners in the building and a huge congrats to our local team who worked so hard over the last few months - way to end on a high note.
This is a side of River City (Toronto) that most people don't get to see. Between phases 1 & 2 lies a secret for it's residents - prairie like landscaping and a pretty amazing pool. And on some days, David Wex casually strolling about...
We have a new perspective these days. (Saskatoon)
"As well as redefining the way condos are designed, the women hope Reina’s example will inspire more young women to choose careers in the building industry" Read more here:
Ready for tonight at UC headquarters! GO RAPS GO! PS all existing and potential consultants - we can be bribed with raps tickets....just sayin'
