Our January newsletter is out, and things look a little different as we face another lockdown. Here are some options we have this month, head to our website www.valleyapex.com to sign up for any of the following: Virtual CrossFit Classes, starting January 4th-29th, happening on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Fridays. Virtual Yoga & Hockey Yoga, starting January 9th, and running every Saturday morning in January. When you sign up we will send you a Google Meet link, with that link you can sign on for the 9:00-9:50am VA Yoga class or the 10:00-10:50am Hockey Yoga Class. Equipment Rentals, you MUST purchase the Equipment Rental Membership along with 3 pieces of equipment before signing out. If your total comes to $0, go back and select the membership option. Pick up will be available Dec 28 & 29 from 4-6pm. True Coach, Individualized Programming. All programming is individualized to your fitness level as well, to the equipment you have access to at home. With the province wide shut down beginning December 26th, today is the last day of all classes, and December 25th will be the last day for members to book and workout. After Christmas we will be sending out our plan for the month of January, hoping this lockdown doesn’t last longer than a month. We’ll be hosting on-line Google Meet workouts for ALL classes to keep everyone motivated. We have True Coach programming available, which is more individualized to you and the equipment you have at home. We will also be renting out equipment again, our current clients will get first dibs on equipment.

No lockdown can affect how excited I am to share this news! Valley Apex Training Grounds is now a CrossFit Affiliate (VA CrossFit)! We’ll still be Valley Apex Training Grounds, keeping all our services the same, just adding SO MUCH MORE (when we’re allowed to reopen)... We’ll take this lockdown time to prepare for whats to come! So watch our Instagram and Facebook page and our newsletter for all the new classes we’re going to introduce!

Pursuit of health & longevity. Are you always feeling too sore? Is soreness holding you back from going back to the gym? Being sore all the time is actually a sign that you’re making some critical mistakes. This is really true if you’re over the age of 35. As soon as your body starts to age, it naturally takes longer to recover. Are you getting enough sleep, are you eating enough, taking care of your stress? It’s not a matter of just stopping going to the gym, it’s an issue that stems much deeper than that and shouldn’t be brushed off by giving up.

Just a reminder, masks must be worn in our main entrance area and while using the change room or bathroom. We also ask you do not loiter at the door or in that main area as traffic flow at times is high. If you want to speak with a coach or someone please do so outside the building. For parents dropping their children off you can come in and tie and untie their skates but please follow our guidelines and exit and enter the proper doors. Thank you for your understanding as we try to keep everyone safe and healthy.
