If you, or anyone you know, has been just diagnosed with COVID-19 and do not require hospitalization, please read this announcement. Vielight Inc. is starting a new clinical trial focused on investigation of using non-invasive light-based therapy device for treatment of COVID-19. This is a prospective, randomized clinical trial. It will include 280 subjects who are residents of the USA and have been very recently diagnosed with COVID-19. The study duration will be 30 days from the first use of the device. Brain wellness is garnering a lot of attention over the recent decade. Even younger adults, those under forty, are interested in supporting their brain. This interest is not without bases. Toronto Dementia Research Alliance recently published a blog post where they reviewed an Alzheimer's Disease pivotal clinical trial, where a Vielight transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM) device (a light therapy device) is examined as a therapeutic modality for the participants. "And what does the research say about light therapy? According to Dr. Fischer, initial studies in humans show that this non-invasive light therapy can stimulate mitochondria, the part of the brain ce...ll that produces energy, and promote gene expression that can protect the brain. Initial studies in laboratory models have shown that light therapy can also target the amyloid-beta and tau proteins that deposit in the brains of people with Alzheimer’s disease.
