We are thrilled to share an exciting announcement that will help ensure a bright future for the agri-food and agri-tech sectors in Southern Ontario. The Federal Government ( FedDev Ontario ) has committed long term funding investment of $7.2 million for the Western Fair Association (WFA), in partnership with London Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) and Roundhouse Accelerator (RHA), to accelerate the growth of agri-food companies in the region and The Grove at Western F...air District will play a major role. Following the recent Province of Ontario lockdown announcement The Market at Western Fair District will continue to operate its regular hours Saturday (8 a.m. 3 p.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m. 2 p.m.) with limited operating capacity. All essential business selling groceries and food items will remain open and will be located on the 1st floor. The 2nd floor will be closed until further notice. Similar to earlier in the year, the goal of keeping the Market open is to continue to supply the local community with access to fresh food from trusted sources. During your trips to the Market you can expect to see the following items available: Meat, fish, deli meats, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, baked goods, pizzas to go, meals to go, bread and coffee.

Four top drivers from Woodbine Mohawk Park and four top drivers from The Raceway will be generously donating all their driver earnings for the evening to Toys For Tots to purchase Christmas Toys for children in need. After much discussion, consultation and exploration of alternative options and models, the Western Fair Association has made the difficult decision to forego its upcoming 2021 show season. Many considerations went into this decision including the realities of growing pandemic case counts, provincial health guidelines restricting trade shows, continued closure of the Canada/US border and the fact that the Western Fair District Agriplex continues to be at-the-ready as a tempor...ary COVID-19 hospital. We look forward to a time when we can get together in person again and experience these shows and events when it is deemed safe to do so. In the meantime, we have been working of a reimagined offering for 2021 featuring a studio space aimed at producing live content promoting and educating audiences on the agri-food and agri-tech sectors.
