To our valued patients and their families: In line with the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia’s recommendations (https://www.cdsbc.org/Pages/covid-19-info.aspx), I have made the decision to suspend all non-essential appointments at West Shore Orthodontics for the immediate future. During this time, we will be available to deal with any urgent emergencies. Please contact the office at 250 590 5756 should you require assistance. I am optimistically anticipating t...hat we will re-open April 1st, however, as we all know, this is a fast-evolving situation and information is changing rapidly. On a positive note, as long as your, or your child’s, orthodontic appliances remain in place during this time, and are not causing any discomfort, treatment will continue to progress as the teeth either continue to move or stabilize in their position depending on the current stage of treatment. While the risk of exposure from COVID-19 currently remains low in our region, we all have to do what we can to limit the spread of this new threat. We all have loved ones who are at higher risk, and I hope we are all able to stay safe during this challenging time. Thank you for your support of our office and for supporting each other. For example, - Penguins in the Chicago zoo are now waddling around exploring the exhibits - Dolphins are coming back to shorelines that were once busy with boats. ...
