Whispering Valley Equine Sanctuary 07.02.2021

Now that's some beautiful hay! How it should be. Thank you Brandon for the supply and delivery! And well, schools have been closed for another two weeks here. So will have my lil side kick with me, putting her to work doing chores with me and whatnot. Lol. That is educational in itself I think?! Hope you all have a great weekend. ... Kirsten and Adellyn.

A delayed Merry Christmas to you all! I truly hope you have had a wonderful Christmas either celebrating with family in person or via technology. It has definitely been an interesting, testing and extremely different year. ... But despite it all, one thing has remained the same, animals still need our help. I want to give a thanks to all the animal rescues, rehabilitation centres, sanctuaries etc for continuing on with the work of helping animals in need despite the challenges 2020 has brought you all. We can't give up. John and I have done our best this year with the horses we've managed to help and thank you to those who've adopted from us this year as well. Lastly, I want to thank all of you who have continued to stand with us, supported us and been there as friends, showing love and compassion for our mission and for our horses. I shared a long winded experience of a very hurtful betrayal that recently occurred...I wasn't asking for help but just a warning for others. The responses I've received have been overwhelming. Messages of similar incidents they experienced by the same individual, messages of encouragement and also messages of generosity. With much gratitude to a friend in the industry I work with, Brandon, has offered us 30 bales of good quality horse hay. I have also received incredible, generous, donations from Penny, Sharon, Sarah and a few others who wish to remain anonymous. This has all brought me to tears and these donations will help cover some of the new 30 bales I will get from Brandon. The support I have from all of you is truly humbling and incredible. If it weren't for all of you, I probably would have thrown in the towel by now. Lol. Since we opened our farm in 2014, 506 horses have been rescued and the majority rehomed. We currently have 9 horses and 4 ponies residing with us. Again, thank you all. Wish you all the best in the year to come. Hugs, Kirsten, John & our Equines Pic below is Dante, our gorgeous Dutch harness cross. My first rescue from slaughter in 2014.
