Most of the reading I've been doing lately is for myself. I've been so busy otherwise that I haven't had a chance to do much more than keep my head above water most days. And then something will happen and I'll drop everything to grab the deck that's calling me. This spread is from #interrobangtarot and I just happened to come across it while looking for something entirely different. It was exactly what I needed. ... Tonight it wasn't the Universe I was listening to but my higher, wiser, truer Self. And let me tell you, that bitch knows her shit. I just need to remember to tune in to her frequency more often so I don't miss what she's trying to say.

Both of these are readings that I did for myself this evening. The actual messages themselves are deeply personal but I wanted to share some of this with you anyhow. I've been having a tough time lately. My emotions are all over the place. I've been struggling with a lot of negativity. I've caught myself engaging in behaviours that I haven't done for over two years. I've cried more in the last three days than I have in the last six months. I am tired. I am still a little ov...erwhelmed. And I WAS afraid. Until I did these readings. You can laugh at tarot cards or oracle cards all you like but the meanings of the cards that I pulled tonight in relation to their placement in the spreads quieted my mind and helped to assuage some of the heartache and anxiety that I have been dealing with. They reaffirmed things I knew to be true and they spoke to me of strength, guidance, and hope when I needed it most. Whatever you want to call it - be that Spirit, the Universe, God, or something else - know that it exists and it hears us when we speak. And then, when we are ready and open to the knowledge, it answers.

The trick with tarot is to understand that the cards offer you choices - not guarantees. Nothing is written in stone. The Universe always wants you to choose.

I don't know why I go so long without reading sometimes. It's good to listen to the stars and the spaces between them.
