Speaking of which, we’ve made updates to available tea boxes on our webshop including Cream Tea Box (scones, cookies and tea) Shortbreads and Gluten-Free Afternoon boxes! Order pickup dates for this week is Tuesday - Saturday!

Somewhere between Suspended Disbelief and Miracle Lane, Claudette and Shelley finally relented to dialling in Gluten Free Teabox for to go. Their concerns were that it had to be enjoyed warm and as-prepared; and after many trials we have *finally* arrived!!!!!!! The GF bread travels well, the scones are warmed just as you arrive, and we’ve separ...ated the chilled / sweet from the warm / savoury items. Excerpts from a really good Elizabeth Teabox for @itsstephlau and Cory! Mini Tourtiere Pastry that doubles as the mascot on the French-Canadian Holiday flag. Those tourtiere steal my heart every time; a rustic pie dough from Claudette, Veal/Pork/Beef minced meat and root vegetable stuffing, shaped into bite size morsels to achieve the perfect pie dough-to-stuffing ratio only miniature food can.

We got you tmr: chocolate flourless cake (GF). Have a slice, order it in your teabox, or order as a whole! Other offerings: we can make our teas vegetarian too! Just inquire / check the prompts during your orders!

I’m not going to go so far to say that there’s a pep in my step but there’s a definite excitement and anticipation in the air because.....!!!!! Sconewiches are back!!!! These scone-sandwiches are made from fluffy cheese scones baked even-smaller-batch fresh daily and bookend your choice of the following fillings: Chicken & apple salad: slow-poached chicken as only a French-chef can, mixed into a creamy sauce with bites of apple to add crunch and sweetness or;... Egg salad with a balanced ratio of fresh ground black & white pepper, tangy mustard, bright crunch of celery and mayo & egg to marinate all the flavours together; or (!!) Smoked Coho salmon, layered on cream cheese and a housemate red-pepper jelly that is so good and nostalgic your nana would want the recipe! Sconewiches can be ordered by phone or online for takeaway starting this Wednesday, or enjoyed during the weekday lunch seating (only walk-ins at this time, not reservations; thank you for understanding!)

It’s true (!) we have outdoor seating under these trees! Getting creative with this pandemic has been one of the more interesting things to come out of this situation; and not for nothing...these seats are not too shabby (if we may say so ourselves!). To say I’m proud of Shelley and all the ladies who profess they cannot keep up with the pace of the world, would be a grosss miscalculation of how impressed I am! These ladies did an amazing job with this set up...even if they t...ook their sweet time getting here! As Claudette says, ‘there’s no fast track for perfection!’ We hope you enjoy this lovely spot with as much relish as the effort they put into getting it here. Only available during nice weather (of course). Limited and distanced seating so please be understanding.
